The AGF Annual Conference 2026 in collaboration with the Institute for Social Movements (Ruhr University) takes place in Bochum from 16th to 17th July 2026. The title of the conference organised by Stefan Berger, Birgit Bublies-Godau, Norbert Fabian und Mathis Gronau is: “Concepts of Freedom and the Development of Democracy in Great Britain in Historical Comparison.” Please find the call for papers here. AGF Early Career Fund
The German Association for British Studies offers flexible funding for early career researchers of up to EUR 500 twice a year. The current call for proposals has been published on H-Soz-u-Kult and runs until 15th June 2026.
